My first journey

When I observe the soft morning sun I see the sky spread it wings 7 AM, facing the clear blue horizon I wish to stand on these cloudy strings In the backyard there is a mango tree An ant is walking like a sniffing dog He has just reached the highest leaf To discover he has been living in a tiny world I traveled from the seashore of Gabon To the Sahara desert in the vast north I left the place where grow sweet mangos and bananas To where bread is flat and circle and my favourite food has become shawarma At night the sky spread it wings and a carpet of stars like uncountable possibilities The sky is scarry dark but the twinkling starlight remains a joy to the eye And both make the night a moment for a long well deserved rest and merry dreams
